Transitional housing gives participants a stable environment as they work toward greater independence and long-term stability.
The Uncuffed Project combines housing, supportive services, education, and peer-driven guidance to address the practical challenges of returning to the community.
Our approach recognizes that successful reentry takes more than a place to sleep. It requires support with the skills, routines, relationships, and resources that help individuals build a sustainable life beyond incarceration.
WHAT THE UNCUFFED PROJECT PROVIDES

Programming focused on areas such as stress management, financial literacy, computer-supported literacy, life skills, and victim awareness.

WHO IS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR?

The program is designed for eligible individuals returning to the community after incarceration who need structured housing and support during their reentry process.

Participants must meet the program's eligibility and placement requirements. The intake process allows The Uncuffed Project to learn about each individual's circumstances and determine whether transitional housing is an appropriate fit.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM LOOK LIKE?
NEED IMMEDIATE SUPPORT?
The Transitional Housing Program supports participants as they move from stabilization toward greater independence.
Participants are expected to actively engage in the program, follow housing and program guidelines, participate in required services and activities, and work toward their individual reentry goals.
The program provides structure and accountability while giving participants the opportunity to develop the skills and stability needed for their next step.

UP TO 180 DAYS OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING SUPPORT
Eligible participants may receive transitional housing and supportive services for up to 180 days, with the possibility of an additional 185 days based on individual circumstances and program requirements.
